Statement and Purpose of Policy

  1. This policy sets out the approach of Waveney Campers Limited (we or us or our) to warranty as offered with each sale of campervans (or the like), what is covered by the offer of warranty and for how long warranty periods are valid.
  2. This Policy applies to all Customers (you or your) who have directly purchased campervans (or the like) from Waveney Campers Limited.
  3. This Policy is in addition to and does not affect your statutory rights.

Waveney Campers Limited’s Approach to Warranty

  1. Waveney Campers Limited is dedicated to offering the best after-sales service possible. We want to ensure that when you leave with your new campervan, you can travel worry-free. However, we understand that it isn’t always possible to prevent issues arising. To combat this, we offer both mechanical and habitation warranty on all of our campervans (or the like).
  2. In regards to mechanical warranty, we offer a varying period for this to be claimed against any issues that may arise – these time periods will be generically outlined below and will also always be communicated to you via email upon initial purchase.
  3. In regards to habitation warranty, we offer a varying period for this to be claimed against any issues that may arise – these time periods will be generically outlined below and will also always be communicated to you via email upon initial purchase.
  4. Warranty is offered as standard with all of our campervans, and there is no extra cost or hidden fee for this. It’s just something we want to add in to make sure all of our customers are happy with their new purchase.

What Isn’t Covered By Warranty

  1. Warranty can be a broad spectrum and we have compiled a list of issues that are not covered by warranty as supplied by Waveney Campers Limited. Please note that manufacturers and converters will have their own list of issues that are not covered by warranty and it is always worth checking with them directly to see if the issue you are having is covered by their warranty.
  2. The list below: makes clear any issues that are not covered by Waveney Campers warranty, is non-exhaustive, and made purely at our discretion. We reserve the right to add and/or remove points from this list as we see fit and at our total discretion:
    1. Issues relating to the chassis/bodywork of the base vehicle (where not affected by conversion). Including but not limited to:
      1. Front windscreen
      2. Rear windscreen
      3. Passenger rolling windows
      4. Tyres and Alloys
      5. Engine Bay
      6. Driver’s Cab (excluding swivel base seats)
    2. General wear and tear, including but not limited to:
      1. Scratched or worn alloys
      2. Worn tyres
      3. Scratched paintwork (unless identified as being present prior to handover)
      4. Dented bodywork (unless identified as being present prior to handover)
    3. Issues relating to the conversion that have been caused by misuse or other user action, including but not limited to:
      1. Scratched, dented or chipped cupboards, work surfaces or flooring
      2. Torn or punctured roof tent (or any component thereof)
      3. Torn or deteriorated upholstery
      4. Swivel Base Seats
  3. Waveney Campers may make the decision to repair any issues from the above list as a gesture of goodwill, and this will be done solely at our absolute discretion. Any and all decisions to decline warranty work claims are final.

Manufacturer’s Warranty

  1. If any issues arise that appear to be a fault of the manufacturer, and thus are covered under the manufacturer’s warranty (where applicable), customers are requested to contact the vehicle manufacturer directly.
  2. If the manufacturer’s warranty has expired on the vehicle, Waveney Campers will cover costs of repair work as long as this is reported within the time frame as listed above in Section 8. Waveney Campers will organise any warranty work outside of the manufacturer’s warranty to be completed at our nominated garage.
  3. Waveney Campers will inform any customer who has put in a warranty claim if their warranty has expired.

Habitation Warranty

  1. If any issues arise that appear to be a fault of the converter, and thus are covered under the converter’s warranty (where applicable), customers are requested to contact Waveney Campers in the first instance to ensure that issues are rectified correctly. We will make contact with the vehicle converter directly and organise any works required on your behalf.
  2. If the converter’s warranty has expired on the vehicle, Waveney Campers will cover costs of repair work as long as this is reported within the time frame as listed above in Section 8. Waveney Campers will organise any warranty work outside of the converter’s warranty to be completed at our nominated garage.
  3. Waveney Campers will inform any customer who has put in a warranty claim if their warranty has expired.

Requirements for Claim

  1. Customers are required to submit any claim for warranty to Waveney Campers directly by downloading and completing the form below and emailing it to james@waveneycampers.co.uk as a .pdf file

Emails received will be responded to within 48 hours of receipt (excl. Emails received on Friday/Saturday due to office closure on Sunday/Monday)

  1. Claims will be checked against our database to ensure that warranty is still applicable and we will email you with confirmation that your warranty claim has been accepted. Once accepted, Waveney Campers will arrange for your vehicle to be booked in…

It is the customer’s responsibility to deliver their vehicle to Waveney Campers, 58 Yarmouth Road, Blofield, Norwich, NR13 4LQ or any alternative site which Waveney Campers will advise you of, for repair work to be carried out. Please note: courtesy vehicles cannot be provided.
